Our Journey
De Luca Espresso Repair LLC was founded by Mario Cano and his wife Mariagrazia De Luca, driven by a shared passion for coffee. Our journey began in New York City, where we both immersed ourselves in the vibrant coffee culture. Mariagrazia, originally from Rome, Italy, brought her deep appreciation for coffee, while I, Mario, developed a fascination with espresso machines.

Starting as a barista, I spent four years mastering the craft before shifting my focus entirely to espresso machine maintenance. In New York, I worked as a maintenance technician, servicing machines throughout Manhattan. From emergency calls to preventive maintenance, I ensured that the machines operated flawlessly, continuously learning and refining my skills.

When Mariagrazia's job brought us to California, our passion for espresso only deepened in the Bay Area. Since then, I've had the privilege of servicing an extensive array of machines, from vintage lever models to sophisticated systems from name brands like La Marzocco, Jura, DeLonghi, Breville, Saeco, Gaggia, Phillips, ECM, Profitec, Rocket, Rancilio, Izzo, Quick Mill, and San Remo.

My journey has been enriched with comprehensive training from La Marzocco and San Remo, coupled with a prestigious diploma from Florence, Italy. These experiences have honed my skills, making me a versatile and highly competent technician. My goal is to blend technical precision with a deep appreciation for espresso craftsmanship, ensuring each machine I service performs at its peak and reflects the artistry of its design.
